Maybe you've been taking care of everyone except yourself.

From the outside, your life might look like it's going well.

You're responsible. Dependable. Hard-working. The person people count on.

You show up for your career, your family, your friends, and everyone who needs you.

But somewhere along the way, you've stopped showing up for yourself.

You tell yourself you'll get back to exercising when work settles down. You'll cook healthier meals after this busy season.

You'll rest once everyone else is okay.

But life never seems to slow down.

Instead, you keep pushing through.

You keep checking the boxes.

And quietly, you wonder...

"When did I stop feeling like myself?"

I know that feeling because I've lived it, too.

For a long time, I believed that pushing through was the responsible thing to do.

I built a career in healthcare and later in Human Resources, where helping people solve problems became second nature. I loved meaningful work, and I took pride in being dependable.

At the same time, life became fuller—and heavier.

I was working full-time, completing my Health & Wellbeing Coach certification, building Firelight Wellness, learning how to be a new mom, and trying to be the kind of wife, daughter, sister, and friend everyone could rely on.

Then my dad became seriously ill.

When he needed someone to help coordinate his care and advocate for him, I poured everything I had into being there for him.

After he passed away, I realized something I hadn't wanted to admit.

I wasn't just grieving.

I was completely burned out.

Life had lost its color.

There was a season when I could barely get out of bed.

I felt emotionally numb.

Disconnected from myself.

Disconnected from the people I loved.

Disconnected from the world around me.

The things that used to bring me joy didn't anymore.

I wasn't living.

I was surviving.

Looking back, I can see the signs I ignored for far too long:

  • Constant exhaustion

  • Brain fog

  • Poor sleep

  • Headaches

  • Neck and back pain

  • Irritability

  • Emotional eating

  • Feeling overwhelmed

  • Holding my breath without realizing it

  • Going through the motions instead of actually enjoying my life

Like so many high-achieving professionals, I thought I just needed to be stronger.

More disciplined.

More productive.

I couldn't have been more wrong.

The biggest lesson I learned wasn't about burnout.

It was about self-care.

Years earlier, I had already experienced firsthand how quickly health can change after being diagnosed with a Cerebral Cavernous Malformation (CCM) and undergoing brain surgery.

That experience taught me never to take my health for granted.

But burnout taught me something different.

It taught me that neglecting ourselves doesn't usually happen all at once.

It happens one skipped workout.

One working lunch.

One late night.

One "I'll start again next week."

One season of putting everyone else's needs ahead of our own.

Until eventually, we forget what it feels like to feel like ourselves.

My healing didn't begin with a perfect plan.

It began with one small decision.

One evening, I happened to drive past a new yoga studio in town.

On a whim, I stopped to see if they had a class that night.

They did.

I walked in.

That one class became the beginning of finding myself again.

Week after week, I kept showing up.

Not because I was suddenly motivated.

But because it gave me something I desperately needed.

A place to breathe.

A place to slow down.

A place where I felt grounded, supported, and connected again.

Little by little, my sleep improved.

My pain decreased.

My mood lifted.

I started reconnecting with myself—not through perfection, but through simple, consistent practices that supported both my body and my mind.

That experience forever changed the way I think about health.

That's why I Coach.

Today, I help busy professionals recover from burnout by simplifying wellness.

Not by asking you to overhaul your life.

Not by expecting perfect discipline.

Not by handing you another unrealistic plan.

Instead, we'll work together to create simple, sustainable habits that fit your real life.

We'll focus on nutrition, movement, stress management, sleep, mindset, nervous system regulation, and mind-body connection—not because checking those boxes is the goal, but because they help you reconnect with yourself.

Because when you have more energy...

Everything changes.

You become more present with your family.

More focused at work.

More patient.

More confident.

More connected.

Most importantly, you stop feeling like you're simply surviving your life.

Here's what working together looks like.

1. Understand where you are today

We'll take a deep look at your health, your lifestyle, your stress, and what's actually keeping you stuck.

2. Build a plan that fits your life

Together, we'll create a simple, personalized approach that feels realistic, sustainable, and enjoyable—not overwhelming.

3. Grow with support

You'll have guidance, accountability, and encouragement as you build habits that last, so you don't have to keep starting over every few weeks.

If you're ready to stop surviving and start feeling like yourself again, I'd love to help.

Every journey begins with a conversation.

We'll talk about what's been feeling hard, where you'd like to be, and whether working together feels like the right next step.

No pressure. Just a supportive conversation to explore what's possible.

Why The Name Firelight?

Firelight came to me during an outdoor meditation—before I even knew what form my work would take. I just knew I wanted to root my work in wellness.

What began as a blog (Firelight Foundations) evolved into Firelight Wellness—a space to guide and support others on their own path to healing and wholeness.

The name holds deep meaning:

  • Fire symbolizes passion, courage, and the strength we carry—even in hard times. It ignites the belief in ourselves.

  • Light represents peace, clarity, and the warmth we welcome into our lives—the serenity we embrace in moments of pure bliss.

  • Foundations ground us in what matters most: nature (the core elements that define our existence), self-trust, and purpose.
